The Balanced Scorecard as a Strategic Management Tool in the Textile Sector

This paper aims to develop a proposal for implementing the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) in large Portuguese company that operates textile sector, intending promote its subsequent implementation. Through qualitative research approach, case study was carried out, using interviews, which allowed clarification of strategic guidelines under study. It found organization analysis has defined main pillars building BSC: mission, values and vision. also this is an with open culture, concerned developing efforts create implement tools allow clear fluid communication objectives all sectors incorporate it. possible assess BSC tool known employees. Everyone recognized it would be useful improving organizational performance meet objectives. However, some factors were can hinder implementation, such as availability time, culture everyone’s commitment execution management tool.
